Hand embroidered, this one took me one hundred and fifty hours, a real labour of love. The face comes from my Bronzina paintings, the finch has become my signature bird over the years and the landscape and sky are made up, l hope you enjoy this piece as much as l do.
All works are one offs and hand embroidered. I use a combination of rayon thread, machine embroidery thread and regular cotton thread to achieve the highest level of detail. Some are sewn on to the hoop, others glued on.
