Hand embroidered, meticulously stitched face based on one of my oil paintings “Childhood” l made up the rest of the image as l went a long, she just basically grew as l went along. She symbolises my hopes for the future of the environment and our educating of the younger generations to be more wise and caring about the planet. This one sold before l even finished it.
All works are one offs and hand embroidered. I use a combination of rayon thread, machine embroidery thread and regular cotton thread to achieve the highest level of detail. Some are sewn on to the hoop, others glued on.
