Hand embroidered, original image done from one of my one of my digital works “Come Play”. See the Prints or Digital Paintings sections for this. I’ve added beads and Chinese silk to this piece. I enjoyed experimenting with strange colour combinations, going with the flow of the pattern on the silk and loose threads. Much of the hair is made up of threads that hang out from the piece.
All works are one offs and hand embroidered. I use a combination of rayon thread, machine embroidery thread and regular cotton thread to achieve the highest level of detail. Some are sewn on to the hoop, others glued on.
